Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Receptionist and assistant to join our team in providing exceptional service to our patients. The office is in downtown Flushing. Must speak Chinese. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, particularly in the pediatric dentistry sector. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both children and their parents.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
• Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with insurance verification and processing claims.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Provide support to dental staff during procedures as needed, including knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, addressing patient questions or concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Utilize dental software for record keeping and appointment scheduling.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and terminology.
• Familiarity with dental procedures such as endodontics, X-ray processes, and vital signs monitoring.
• Experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
• Understanding of anatomy relevant to dental health.
• Proficiency with 3D scanners is a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
