Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage the accounts payable process in a real estate lending or mortgage lending environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and maintaining financial records. You'll work closely with the financial team to support smooth operations while building strong relationships with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process invoices for payment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and agreements.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and manage vendor statements and payment schedules.
- Financial Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closings and account reconciliation.
- Reporting & Compliance: Generate reports related to accounts payable activity and outstanding liabilities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Key Summary:
- Accurately process invoices and payment requests.
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly accounts payable reports.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Bookkeeper, preferably in a real estate lending or mortgage lending company.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Experience using accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
