In Room Dining Server

As an InRoom Dining Server at Fairmont Century Plaza you play a vital role in providing an exceptional guest experience by delivering selling and accounting for all products in the InRoom Dining department with pride and enthusiasm. Youll work closely with the InRoom Dining Supervisor or Manager to assist with amenity deliveries follow Fairmonts recipes and presentation guidelines and ensure costefficient food and beverage service while maintaining compliance with all liquor laws. Leading by example you inspire your team to uphold Accor and Fairmonts standards and values delivering friendly courteous and professional service to maximize guest satisfaction. Flexibility and dedication are key as youll adapt to various shifts including mornings evenings weekends and holidays to meet the needs of our guests.

What you will be doing:

• To provide the highest quality service to all guests at all times by instilling the company philosophy.
• Sets up breaks down and resets the In Room Dining service station
• Speak with others using clear and professional language and answer the phones using appropriate etiquette in accordance with company standards
• Delivers proper efficient and friendly service to our guests in their rooms and other assigned hotel and residence spaces
• Delivers orders requests and amenities in a timely manner to the correct rooms/residences
• Correctly sets up trays and carts to be delivered according to the guests requests
• Explain food and beverage items in detail to our guests
• Picks up and removes dirty trays and tray tables
• Complete any necessary opening and closing paperwork and sidework duties required
• Controls costs and waste
• Works well with others as a team
• Prepares food and beverage
• Assists in filling in at other F&B areas as agreed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• 6 months or more of In Room Dining preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting
• Minimum 1 year experience in upscale food and beverage environment
• Possess a proven track record for guest satisfaction
• Possess a strong sense of urgency
• Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition
• Maintain a high level of integrity
• Displays a confidant and professional appearance at all times and always meets company grooming standards
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Adapts in difficult situations problem solves and makes decisions when necessary 
• Shows eagerness and capacity to learn
• Able to work flexible hours weekends and holidays
