Job Description

We are looking for a Director of Finance   that will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, payroll, tax collection, debt and cash management, internal auditing, and financial reporting. This role requires strong administrative skills to manage finance functions and supervise department personnel.
Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain accurate accounting systems
• Prepare and manage the annual budget
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable / accounts receivable, tax collection, and investments
• Supervise and train finance department staff
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and auditing standards
• Manage municipal bonds, financial risk, and investment programs
• Work closely with elected officials, auditors, and financial institutions

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of finance / accounting experience
• 2+ years of management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software
• CPA preferred
• Ability to pass a background / credit check
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• This position requires strong leadership, decision-making, and financial expertise
