Job Description

Penn Care is currently seeking an on-the-road Ambulance Service Technician in Niles, OH . This person will direct and coordinate activities concerned with the service on all Ambulance equipment between customers, manufactures, and the 3rd parties administrators.

What Does a Service Technician Do?

• Repairs or maintains the operating conditions of ambulance equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine and required maintenance work on ambulance and equipment.
• Repairs or replaces broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment using power and non-powered tools.
• Repairs, rewires, and troubleshoots electrical and HVAC systems within the machinery or equipment.
• Observes and tests the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Tests machinery or equipment to determine malfunctions and ensure proper functioning after repair.
• Researches, orders, and maintains parts inventory for services and repairs.
• Schedules maintenance for machines and equipment and keeps equipment service records.
• Travels to complete repairs and maintenance on ambulance and equipment at customer locations.
• Follows safety protocols while repairing or performing maintenance and while working with hazardous materials.

The right candidate will have:

• A high diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
• 2 years mechanical experience preferred
• Must be detail oriented
