This position is a wonderful opportunity to manage one tasting room featuring three boutique wineries. Bunnell Family Cellars/Newhouse and Wautoma Springs share a lovely tasting room space in the renowned Warehouse District in Woodinville. Both wineries are well known for their small lot wines of exceptional quality.

Bunnell Family Cellars/Newhouse focuses on single varietal wines and specific vineyards. Their wine library is extensive, allowing for opportunities to showcase wines over multiple vintages and create educational experiences.
Wautoma Springs winery focuses on estate grown fruit and small lot wines. Their wines are created to showcase each varietal and pair beautifully with food.

The Position is: Responsible for all guest experience and consumer sales activities; leading all tasting room, wine club, food and event programs for the Woodinville location.

Guest Relations:
Lead Tastings as an elevated, luxury experience, combining education, family lore, food and fun in a way that is tailored to each individual group’s desires and comfort level.
Read the Room
Manage and program POS to facilitate ultimate guest experience; Oversee management of guest payment means with confidentiality and accuracy
Resolve customer issues seeking positive outcomes
Use creativity to make proposals to improve guest experience as well as other key aspects of Guest Relations Management
Maintain the highest standard of overall appearance and ambience of the tasting room, maintaining a luxurious and welcoming environment

Team Leader:
Translate your passion for wine to your staff: creating a hospitable, educated, professional team, and instilling a fine wine culture
Be cognizant of and enforce all County and State Health Guidelines
Train, coach, mentor, educate, and motivate
Cultivate teamwork, trust and mutual respect
Schedule staff coverage taking into account seasonality and events, both in house and off-site
Perform supervisory duties, including recruiting, hiring, mentoring and discipline

Administrative and Logistics:
Monthly inventory and reconciliation
Input into strategies for sales programs and club goals
Create, update and print all promotional materials and menus
Weekly Payroll review and reporting to the main office for payroll generation, including maintaining sales spreadsheets and calculating tip splits and commissions

Ideal Candidate has:
3 years successful management in the wine industry as an innovative and effective leader, verifiable by letters of recommendation or by phone conversation
Passion for, and knowledge of, wine
Proven understanding of Direct-to-Consumer sales and marketing strategy

Prior experience working with hospitality and culinary programs in luxury goods and wines
Organized and detail oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
The desire and ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication with the “home team” in Prosser.
Experience in, and comfortable with: staff management, inventory management, wine club development, and event planning and execution,
Technologically savvy

Proficiency in: QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Publisher
Familiarity with: OrderPort, Square, and BeePro, Canva, or other comparable design software
Over 21
MAST certified
Food Handler’s Card
Valid Driver’s License
Able to lift 45 pounds
Able to stand for extended periods

Hourly plus overtime, commission and gratuities
Schedule requires primarily weekends and evenings.
If desired some administrative work from home is possible after proficiency is established.
