We’re looking for:

A staple tasting room associate with high enthusiasm for achieving sales and club sign-up goals as a central part of our Direct-to-Consumer program. We’re after a dedicated professional, with a strong interest in high-touch hospitality and the willingness to foster their own wine knowledge in pursuit of making and furthering a career in the industry. The ideal prospect will support fellow staff with POS transactions, policy implementation, daily tastings/operational tasks, facility maintenance and customer relations, while also serving as a role model in sales, service, and teamwork. In a perfect world, we’re looking for someone who wants to be a key player at L’Angolo for years to come as they cut their teeth with an established brand with upward growth potential.

Who we are:

Located in the renowned Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley, L’Angolo Estate is an intimate and upscale tasting room, winery and 20-acre vineyard that opened in late 2016. Since then, we’ve been growing, producing, and selling estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a professionally understated point-of-view. We’re a boutique business with a small team, whose successful growth stems from a selective employment process that effectively matches individual and organizational values, coupled with an entrepreneurial environment that promotes creativity, constant improvement, and excellence in every aspect of our work lives.

Essential Duties (the main pillars of the job):

1. Execute daily service through the lens of high-touch hospitality and a culture of collaboration to reach the sales and club sign-up goals of the Direct-to-Consumer program.
2. Complement other team members’ activity by spearheading POS transactions, opening/closing duties, appointment scheduling, and the overall completion of the tasting room’s day-to-day activities.
3. Take the lead on facility upkeep (i.e. sweeping, moving furniture, cleaning surfaces, organizing inventory/merchandising material, and general tidying as needed).
4. Collaborate and assist the Tasting Room/Wine Club manager with on-going tasks, projects, and consumer events as needed.

Job Duties (the more granular expectations):

•  Consistently meet sales and membership goals on a quarterly basis.
•  Take lead and execute successful tasting experiences and strategize ways to improve these everyday.
•  Leverages sales by building relationships with top buyers, VIP clients and tenured wine club members.
•  Assist in maintaining an inventory plan for all wine SKUs to ensure the success of the current and future wine programs.
•  Assist and educate guests and other staff members on wines, wine club benefits, L’Angolo history and culture, regional information, etc.
•  Actively engage with customers to understand their preferences and suggest suitable wine selections.
•  Effectively communicate the value of joining the wine club and address any inquiries or concerns from potential members.
•  Process membership applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
•  Follow up with existing club members to renew memberships and promote new offerings.
•  Provide exceptional customer service by delivering personalized assistance and recommendations tailored to individual preferences.
•  Build strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
•  Input, and update guest data properly and in a timely manner using TOCK and WineDirect.
•  Monitor reservation system and assist in plotting the reservations for the shift, know when and where we can accommodate walk-ins in order to maximize covers for the shift while always striving to maintain a positive guest experience.
•  Take initiative to do ongoing side tasks throughout the shift, as well as swiftly and thoroughly completing opening and closing duties.
•  Capable and eager to work in a variety of spaces and settings, between the Tasting Room and Winery, and offsite events.
•  Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
•  Demonstrate a passion for detail and a willingness to learn.
•  Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
•  Maintain upbeat, even-keeled attitude and composure.
•  Respectfully take direction from the Tasting Room/Wine Club Manager.
•  Performs other duties as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager/Wine Club Manager.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
OLCC & Food Handler’s License

Other Notes:

This job can be physically demanding— applicants are required to be able to regularly lift 50+ pounds and be on their feet for 8 hours a day.

$22-25/hour DOE
Tips + healthcare stipend
Schedule: Thursday—Monday -or- Thursday—Sunday from 9:30 to 5, with the willingness and flexibility to work holidays and other hours as needed.
