Sales Engineer – HVAC

Highland Consulting Group, a national recruiting firm specializing in recruiting highly qualified construction professionals, is collaborating with a commercial construction contractor in the Baltimore, MD  area. They have an immediate opening for an  HVAC Sales Engineer . This regional contractor is well-respected with a strong brand, and well engaged in high-demand local projects.

We are seeking an individual with a B2B sales and business development background, particularly in HVAC sales, Mechanical piping, Sheet metal, and Plumbing. The role involves selling HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing services to Commercial Businesses, Educational Facilities, Medical Facilities, Government Buildings, and Large Multi-Family Complexes.

Key responsibilities include developing new accounts through relationships with Facilities Managers, Building Owners, Management Firms, and Contractors. The ideal candidate will be a goal-driven sales professional capable of evaluating the current systems, designing a new system, estimating the cost, and selling it to C-level decision-makers. The role encompasses prospecting, managing client relationships, Design / Estimating, and closing the sale.

Job Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing systems
• Minimum 5 years of prior experience in HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing installation sales
• Sales hunter with strong closing skills
• Self-starter capable of overcoming rejection
• Desire to learn and be trainable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 2 or 4-year degree or previous HVAC / Mechanical / Plumbing experience can qualify
• Solid computer skills
