Role Description
This is a part-time Research Assistant role located in Atlanta, Georgia at Georgia Tech. The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting research on mathematics education for high school students.
The Research Assistant will join Dr. Eunhye Flavin's research team at the College of Lifetime Learning. Specifically, the Research Assistant will focus on Flavin's American Educational Research Association (AERA)-funded research project on mathematical modeling for high school students. This study examines how speculative design, a novel pedagogical model for mathematical modeling, empowers high school students to create collective visions for the future of their communities.
Qualifications
The RA will engage in a comprehensive research experience (Spring–Summer 2025, about 5 hrs/week for 20 weeks). The RA will have the ability to perform the tasks, including but not limited to:
