Job Description
An employer in the Cincinnati, Ohio area is looking for an SDET for a remote, contract opportunity. The client is a large retailer and the tester has an exciting opportunity to join at the infancy of the client's AI-enabled shopping experience. We are seeking an experienced Mobile-focused SDET to design and implement manual and automated tests for Android and iOS applications. This role ensures the quality and reliability of mobile experiences that integrate LLMpowered features, real-time communication, and agentic shopping workflows. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to deliver robust test automation across mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated tests for Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) and iOS (Swift/SwiftUI).
Design and execute functional, integration, and end-to-end tests for mobile apps, including LLM-driven features and real-time communication (WebSocket).
Implement UI automation using tools like XCUITest, and Espresso.
Build mock services and test harnesses for orchestration layer APIs.
Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and maintain high coverage.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience in mobile test automation for Android and iOS.
Strong programming skills in Kotlin, and Swift for test scripting.
Experience with Espresso, and XCUITest for mobile automation.
Familiarity with LLM integration testing and AI-driven workflows.
Knowledge of real-time communication testing (WebSocket, MQTT).
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile architecture patterns. - Experience with Firebase and Crashlytics.
Background in e-commerce platforms or agentic shopping experiences.
Knowledge of exploratory and security testing for mobile applications.
