We are looking for a Private Duty Nurse to provide 1:1 care in a client's residence in St. Peters, MO.
When working as a private duty nurse with AccuCare, your day is spent caring for your patient in the comfort of their home and ensuring they are well taken care of. You administer their medications, chart their progress, communicate with their additional care providers, and most of all, continue building a bond founded in quality at-home care.

Scheduling Options
- Day Shift 8am-8pm
- Overnight Shift 8pm-8am
- Weekend Availability
- Full Time 40+ hours/week
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications
- Maintain current CPR certification. Basic Life Support Certification preferred
- You need to have a fire and passion for working with seniors.
- You have a flexible, fun, and energetic personality, but also know when to let the client have their quiet time to relax and rest.
- Must have an active, and in good standing, Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience is required.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory compliance standards and clinical practices within the scope of long-term care
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record and vehicle that is insured in accordance with state and is in good working order.
- Cellphone with Internet and texting capabilities.
- Must complete all physical and mental demands, which may include, but not be limited to the following: the ability to transfer clients, carry supplies, stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and speak effectively. Corrected vision and hearing must be within normal range.
Responsibilities and Required Skills/Abilities
- Under the direction of the client/client's family - assess the environment and determines and records client's needs. Continually work with client the AccuCare RNCM and Physician to evaluate the effects of care given and regularly reevaluates the client's needs.
- Complies with AccuCare’s policies and procedures including standards of conduct and work ethics, dress code and HIPAA.
- Serves as a liaison between the client and other health care professionals.
- Has excellent writing and charting skills and prepares reports in a timely manner.
- Possesses ingenuity to handle medical and situational emergencies.
- Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to be calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to interact with adverse, and sometimes difficult clients and/or family.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Pet friendly (they have a friendly Labrador that is like family to them)
- Must have a "can-do" attitude!!
