Under the general direction of the Headquarters Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) of the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT) Program and other clinical initiatives at CDCR and CCHCS. The Nurse Consultant (NC) III (Supervisor) supervises the Transitions NC IIs, and provides consultation to leadership and staff regarding nursing practices, procedures, and standards.  This position has the possibility of 80% travel with limited notice.

80% Travel is required to institution.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a(n) CA Board of Registered Nursing License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Previous supervisory experience and involvement in case management, care coordination, release planning, and/or substance use disorder treatment.  Previous experience with group facilitation and/or nurse and patient education.
