We are looking for skilled Freelance Network Engineers to join our team on a project-based or ongoing support basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies and experience across multiple environments, providing network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support. Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring optimal operation and minimizing downtime.
Provide network support and maintenance services, including issue resolution, upgrades, and updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements and deliver custom solutions.
Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
Ensure compliance with security protocols, policies, and industry standards in all networking activities.
Provide recommendations for network improvements and future-proofing solutions.
Key Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and wireless networks. Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar is preferred.
Cloud Networking: Familiarity with cloud-based networking services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Security Awareness: Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Independence: Ability to work remotely and independently with minimal supervision.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, etc.) are highly desirable.
Flexibility: Willingness to work on an on-demand basis, adapting to varying project timelines and scope.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in both large and small environments.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers, if required.
