Meeting and Events Coordinator
Position Overview The Meeting and Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing meetings and events within the pharmaceutical sector. This role requires strategic planning and budget management to ensure successful and impactful gatherings that align with the company's goals.
This is a 12-month freelance role that will require 30-40 hours/week of availability beginning in January 2025. Ideally, this candidate will be located in the Indianapolis, IN area but this client is open to a remote individual.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement strategic meeting plans that align with organizational objectives
- Manage budgets for meetings and events, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Oversee all aspects of meeting preparation, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, and logistics coordination
- Create detailed agendas that facilitate effective meetings and ensure all objectives are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all meeting and event needs are addressed
- Evaluate the success of meetings and events and implement improvements for future planning
Qualifications - Proven experience in meeting and event planning, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong project management skills with a focus on strategic planning and execution
- Excellent budget management abilities
- Ability to develop clear agendas and meeting notes for effective follow-up
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, specifically a "positive, can-do attitude"
- Experience with diabetes marketing is a plus
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
