Responsible for installing and maintaining proper working order of injection molding machines. Ensures proper mechanical and electrical layout to any machine modifications or movements. This is considered a safety sensitive position. 

Shift Schedule and Hours: Rotating two-week, 12-hour schedule 6:00pm – 6:00am 

As a Maintenance Technician at IPL you will :

• Support production personnel and molding technicians. 
• Support general machine maintenance project assignments. 
• Inspect injection molding machine equipment ensuring good working order or documenting unscheduled repairs that need attention. 
• Provides training to other Maintenance Technicians, as needed. Preventative Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Machine Repair 
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks for production presses. 
• Visually inspect malfunctioning machines and troubleshoot to determine the root cause of the malfunction. 
• Analyze electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems and determine proper solution to fix the issue. 
• Perform maintenance projects as assigned. o
• May necessitate occasional work on the exterior building roof or exterior silos. Maintain Supplies and Complete Maintenance Logs 
• Verify maintenance inventory needs are at proper levels, order additional inventory, as necessary. 
• Keep accurate, detailed logs of maintenance work. Food Safety 
• Follow and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety policies.

What you will bring to the role:

• Exhibit a sense of ownership in the results of the production team. 
• Required training (training will be provided in all areas, as needed): 
• Experience using various types of lifts (ie: scissors lift). 
• Always adhere to all lock-out/tag-out procedures. 
• Knowledge of all aspects of the production process. 
• Knowledge of electrical components. 
• Above average math skills. 
• Above average mechanical ability. 
• Basic troubleshooting ability. 
• Positive and professional attitude and demeanor. 
• Ability to learn quickly and with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness. 
• Ability to analyze and problem-solve during troubleshooting situations. 
• Above average attendance.
• Frequent climbing. 
• Frequent use of hand tools with up to maximal upper extremity force to remove bolts and connections. 
• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and working on concrete production floor. 
• Ability to work from tall heights using a lift. 
• Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment. 
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
