Laborer
GENERAL DUTIES
Under direct supervision, performs common unskilled laboring work requiring physical strength but little skill or training. Moves, lifts and carries items of various weights and sizes. May be required to operate motor vehicles and equipment in connection with the performance of duties. Performs related work.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Often referred to as "the jewel of the CUNY system," Queens College is an urban school in a suburban setting, with a large and diverse student body. This picturesque campus consists of 37 buildings and spans more than 80 acres. Reporting directly to the Administrative Superintendent, the Laborer is responsible for the maintenance of assigned campus buildings and grounds and instrumental in landscaping and snow removal activities.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a CDL license, class B with air brakes
5 years minimum laborer experience working in a large educational institution or hospital setting 2 years experience with snow removal using heavy equipment 1 year of experience pruning trees at height with power toolsPrevious experience operating heavy equipment, such as trucks, back-hoe, tractors, etc.
COMPENSATION
$75,690
BENEFITS
