Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York

New requirement for an Interior Designer job with a uniquely creative, design-led practice with an award-winning portfolio which includes some of the most prestigious and desirable projects in New York. You will be joining their culturally diverse team in the city, focused on delivering outstanding hospitality, mixed-use, and residential projects up to the value of 10mil. The position is offering a salary of up to $105,000 plus benefits and hybrid working.

With a wide portfolio of projects, ranging from luxury, high-end apartments in prime areas of New York and London to Safari Lodges in Africa, many architectural and interior design applicants seek work within this award-winning firm. Their overall portfolio extends from very small-scale projects, to much larger multi-million-pound commissions; including high-end residential, hospitality and hotels. They are involved in all aspects of design, creating unique and inspiring design schemes.

Role & Responsibilities

• To work across the full design life cycle from concept to completion
• Produce design documents and technical packages (2D and 3D)
• FF&E specification and design; keeping up to date on trends
• Provide budget support
• Liaise with clients and contractors
• Space planning and understanding architectural drawings
• Concept design and development.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' of experience in an interior design position, focused on hospitality or residential projects
• Degree qualified in interior design or similar is preferred
• Experience working across the full design life cycle
• Proficiency in Vectorworks is preferred, but training can be provided if candidates already have strong AutoCAD experience
• Fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, SketchUp; Bluebeam and Design Spec would also be an advantage
• Project management skills
• LEED accreditation is highly desirable.

What you get back

• Salary of up to $105,000
• Hybrid working
• 15 days PTO, rising to 20 days with length of service
• Additional PTO at 5 years and 7 years of service (5 and 20 additional days, respectively)
