Title: Industrial Forklift Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Forklift Technician to join our Field Service team. As an Industrial Forklift Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial forklifts at customer sites. Your expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues will ensure optimal performance and safety of the equipment. This is a field-based position, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as an Industrial Forklift Technician preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial forklifts
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial forklifts
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
- Replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed
- Document all repair and maintenance activities accurately and timely
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding forklift operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with the Field Service team to schedule and coordinate service calls
- Comply with all safety regulations and protocols while performing job duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 pounds)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments (indoors and outdoors)
