Key words:
Working in CATIA V5/V6 to design and model fixturing used for holding vehicle parts during processes such as weld paint assembly and test.
Understanding body part construction datums and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
Preform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
Export 3D/2D data and outsource to a supplier for quotes and ordering.
Research ways fixturing or processes can be improved.
Support any other request for fixturing test equipment or prototyping needs in the company.
Support development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models and Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
