Salary: $120000.00 to $150000.00 yearly Description We are seeking a Director of Payroll to join our team in the hospitality industry in Coachella, California. In this role, you will be overseeing all aspects of payroll functions, auditing and advising on best practices, and ensuring compliance with various laws.
Responsibilities - Oversee the processing of payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Guide and implement best practices for payroll procedures, including earnings, garnishments, tax withholdings, etc.
- Regularly monitor and report on KPIs related to payroll.
- Comply with federal, state, and Tribal laws in the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Develop and manage controls to ensure accurate reconciliation and payment of deductions and benefits.
- Support annual payroll tax reconciliation and ensure compliance with filing returns and W-2 issuance.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of payroll and private employee information, maintaining secure payroll data.
- Foster collaboration with the Finance department, Legal, HR, and/or external vendors and consultants.
- Utilize skills in ADP - Payroll, Certified Payroll Detail Oriented, Full Cycle Payroll, Tax - Payroll, Payroll Tax Reporting, HRIS Payroll System, Certified Payroll, Local Payroll Tax, Prevailing Wage.
Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the payroll sector of the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in ADP payroll system
- Certification as a Detail Oriented Payroll Individual (CPP)
- Deep understanding and experience in handling full cycle payroll
- Extensive knowledge in payroll tax and payroll tax reporting
- Experience with HRIS Payroll System is required
- Familiarity with certified payroll processes
- Experience in handling local payroll tax
- Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations
