Responsibilities:

• I am looking for a TS/SCI level cleared Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA, supporting our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. In this role, you will:
• Participate in software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities while ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated.
• Conduct comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems.
• Design, develop, test, and evaluate information system security throughout the systems development life cycle.
• Test, implement, deploy, maintain, and administer the infrastructure hardware and software.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for application design and accreditation, including ATO and eMASS.
• Manage a range of security issues, including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access using advanced technologies.
• Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, integrating new architectural features into existing systems.
• Provide architectural analysis and relate existing systems to future needs and trends.
• Embed advanced forensic tools for attack reconstruction and resolve integration/testing issues.

We expect that you will adhere to DAAPM 2.2, JSIG Rev 4, ICD-503, and other related documentation for our systems and architectures. You will develop and maintain the Security Authorization or Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) for pertinent systems and ensure effective coordination with customers and stakeholders. Additionally, you will deliver all required documentation as directed, ensure all Security Authorization documentation is updated, develop schedules to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO), collect and document Security Controls, and provide oversight and advisory activities as needed.

You will also be expected to learn and maintain knowledge of all system configurations, architecture, and installed software. Educational requirements vary, but most positions require a bachelor’s degree along with pertinent work experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $121,680 - $161,000, which will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.

This position requires 40 scheduled weekly hours, with no travel required. Telecommuting is not an option; this is an onsite role located in Springfield, VA.
