Job Title: Chemical Operator

Location : Rochester, NY

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to perform essential chemical operations, including blending, extracting, drying, and distillations. This role supports 24-hour manufacturing operations through a rotational shift schedule. Shift:

• Rotating Shift Schedule:

  • 2 day shifts on (12-hour days: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

  • 24 hours off

  • 2 night shifts on (12-hour nights: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

  • 3 days off

• Weekly shift start day moves forward by one day each week

Pay:

• $24.00 - $32.00 per hour (Based on experience, education, and other job-related factors)

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate chemical processes safely and efficiently to meet regulatory, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Acquire and apply knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO standards.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and waste in compliance with safety protocols.
• Continuously improve process knowledge and obtain/maintain necessary certifications.
• Promptly report safety, quality, capacity, or process equipment issues to supervision.
• Plan for and respond to hazardous waste emergencies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred (entry-level candidates will be considered).
• Chemical manufacturing or chemical experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and hand tools.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
