Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Assistant Project Manager Position Summary: As the Assistant Project Manager, you will plan, direct and coordinate activities pertaining to the construction, renovation, and maintenance of an assigned commercial, industrial, municipal, and multi-family projects with specific focus in k-12 education, higher education, healthcare, and federal projects in accordance with company policies, property documents, and governmental regulations. Ultimately, the Assistant Project Manager duty, with their team, is to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the highest standard.

Key Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:

* Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to project closeout.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors, laborers, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability to ensure project success.
* Budget & Financial Management: Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and work closely with finance teams to ensure profitability. Approve expenditures, change orders, and other project-related costs.
* Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Maintain transparent and regular communication with all stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure all work complies with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
* Scheduling & Resource Management: Create and maintain project schedules, adjusting as needed to account for any changes or unforeseen issues. Manage resources to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
* Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality. Conduct regular inspections and site visits to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
* Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution: Address any issues that arise during construction, including delays, disputes, and unforeseen challenges. Provide solutions in a timely and effective manner.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all project activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and financial documentation. Prepare reports for senior management and clients as needed.

Assistant Project Manager Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
* Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
* In-depth understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and regulations.
* Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Assistant Project Manager Compensation & Benefits:

* Competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.
